INTRO

Anticipation explores the delicate balance between presence and change, focusing on the emotional dynamics of looking forward while staying grounded in the present. This exhibition invites artists to reflect on the human experience of transition, intuition, and the excitement of new beginnings, highlighting the tension between uncertainty and the known.

Through diverse artistic perspectives, Anticipation offers fresh insights into how we navigate moments of change. The works explore the thrill, hope, and uncertainty that come with transformation. Join us in exploring what it means to stand on the cusp of change—ready to move forward while fully aware of the present moment.

A Response to the Anticipation Exhibition

By Christina Yianni

She stood on the very, very edge.

Her toes just tipping over, feeling the air about them.

And as she looked down, her stomach...

Oh her stomach...

Turned and twisted.

Adrenaline shooting up and down her spine

There was no numbness, no deadening.

Every part of her awake, alert, buzzing.

The sense of beginning, of starting something.

Something.

Even though she didn’t know what or even how.

She knew it was right, because of this feeling.

Standing here, on the edge of newness

Ready to step off

Ready to discover what she guessed at but did not yet know.
