We welcome proposals from alumni of the Goldsmiths Design Department (Class of 2013–2023). Whether your medium is visual, textual, sonic, or interactive, we’re seeking works that might resist disciplinary clarity, embrace layered meanings, and inhabit the spaces in-between articulation and silence. Selected participants will also be featured on the Official London Design Festival website, the Synonym Lab website, and partner platforms.
The aim of this show is to explore how design is approached not as a fixed discipline, but as a fluid and responsive tool for inquiry. The participating practitioners, makers, designers, artists et.al experiment with systems, materials, images, texts, and interfaces to explore how design and its meaning is understood, made, disrupted, or concealed. Design as a practice and approach — not just to be in or describe the world, but to question its boundaries. Design as a language that is continually rewritten in dialogue with the world.
