Chloé Das Neves
Chloé Das Neves is a French multidisciplinary artist who explores the body and its visual representations through drawing and movement. Her practice is a conversation between the immaterial body (Body-Image) and anatomical structure (Somatic), and how we can keep track of this ongoing dialogue. Probing the materiality of memories, she uses the methodology of palimpsest to document the ephemerality of the body in movement. Through fragmentation, reconstruction and assemblage, her work recreates stories of bodies in space.
After studying fashion design in France, she completed an MFA at The Margate School in 2022 as part of the European programme. Now based in London, she developed a series of workshops as part of 'Horizontal Practices' with London Performance Studio in 2023, completed a year-long residency the same year at 40Clarence Mews and is now involved with the Rising Sun Collective. She has also worked with fashion designer Eirinn Hayhow for the LFW 22/23/24 shows and her workshops with The Phoenix Garden.
